Fox valley technical college (FVTC) is located in Wisconsin area, and trains over 50,000 students annually in various career lines. The institution offers over 200 associate degree courses, certificate courses, and diploma programs. It also offers over 20 apprenticeship trade instructions to its students, and allows credit transfers from nearly 30 colleges and universities.
Fox valley technical college has two main campuses, one in Appleton and another in Oshkosh. It also has regional centers in Waupaca, Chilton, and Wautoma. The school is accredited by the North Central Association (NCA), and is a member of the Wisconsin Technical College System.
Applications to the college are done online through forms available on the institution’s official website. Incase an applicant is not sure of the program they want to apply for; they can visit the program’s page on the website and view the available options, or seek assistance from the nearest FVTC branch.
First time applicants are expected to pay a $30 non-refundable application fee. Their applications are not processed until the fee is paid in full. Students who require financial aid are encouraged to apply for grants, scholarships and available part time jobs at the college.
A skills assessment test is required for most diploma and degree programs. A non-refundable fee of $15 must be paid prior to the test. A student may be waivered from the skills test if they had taken a similar one in the last three years. Once the application is accepted, a letter of admission is sent to the applicant together with a request to sign up for a new student registration.
Fox Valley Technical College offers associate diploma and degree programs in Agriculture, Horticulture and Natural Resources, Aviation, Business, Management and Finance, Construction, Culinary and Hospitality, Engineering and Electronic Related Technologies, Health Science, Human Services, Information Technology, Law Enforcement and Public Safety, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Service, Printing Technology, Transportation, and General, Individualized and Global Studies.
Some programs have other requirements besides the general requirements, and students are advised to visit the program’s page for their course requirements. Students must send their transcripts to FVTC when applying. Equivalents of high school transcripts, such as GED/HSED and or college transcripts are accepted.

The Fox Valley Tech foundation was formed in 1976. It is a charitable organization that is committed to the development of quality and skilled workforce. The organization encourages innovation by students by supporting them and developing relevant facilities. The foundation’s mission is to partner with the college to secure and provide resources that will promote innovation and workforce development throughout the community. The foundation does this through provision of grants, scholarships, donations and enabling access to state-of-the art technology.
Student services are available at the FVTC web site where students can have their queries answered. They can make use of these services at any time and get the required assistance. Services offered include software purchase, health services, housing, and tutoring. Also, a minority resource center allows students to enjoy the diversity that comes with different ethnicities, talents, and backgrounds in an environment that encourages cross-cultural interactions.
